Because her grandmother never wanted her to get tattoos, she compromised by only getting the left side of her body tattooed.After realizing that she might need heart surgery, her emotions run wild. She is also not scared to fight, and this is shown when she confronts Alex about flirting with Ceaser. While in Las Vegas, she officially refers to Ceaser as her man, and once they get back, she refers to him as babe in front of the crew. She reveals that she loves Ceaser as a close friend. After the shop's awning is slashed, she starts to feel homesick and considers going back to her hometown. She seems to be somewhat of a megalomaniac when she takes it upon herself to announce that she is firing Alex without Ceaser's approval. Her jealous side is shown when she finds out that Alex was alone in a room with Ceaser. She believes that Alex sees her and Sassy as competition and not friends. After seeing Ceaser in his room with two female clients, she seems to be jealous. She does not believe that her mother is proud of her because she is only a tattoo artist. While driving Ceaser to court, she reveals that she likes him. She seems to care about O'Shit, as she attempts to convince Ceaser to rehire him.

Later on, she flirts with Ceaser in his room. Her initial shy attitude is quickly changed when she confronts a supposed mixxxy that was talking trash about her. Ceaser is shown blatantly flirting with her, and she, figuratively, pushes him away. Dutchess introduces herself in the first episode.
